Birth & Postpartum Support, Female Body Literacy, and Herbal Wisdom

Hi, I’m Rachael—an herbalist, birth and postpartum doula, and lifelong student of women’s health.

My path into birth work grew from my devotion to holistic healing and my belief that women deserve better care, deeper support, and more knowledge about their bodies.

The female body has been historically understudied, leaving many women disconnected from the wisdom of their cycles, fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum healing. Too often, women move through these major life transitions without the education, nourishment, or support they truly deserve.

My work exists to help close that gap.

Through evidence-based education, herbalism, nourishment, and deeply personalized doula care, I support women in reconnecting with their bodies and moving through each phase of life—from cycle health and fertility to pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and beyond—with confidence, clarity, and trust in their own intuition.

My goal is to help women feel informed, replenished, and deeply rooted in their own innate  wisdom.

HErbalism

I have experience supporting families through a wide range of birth experiences, including:

  • Home birth

  • Unmedicated birth

  • Cesarean birth

  • Hospital transfer from planned home birth

  • Births involving asynclitic fetal presentation

  • Epidural-supported birth

  • Pitocin augmentation or induction

  • Medically induced labor

More About My Doula Approach

My support is rooted in both emotional presence and practical care.

As your doula, I provide personalized guidance throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum so you feel informed, prepared, and deeply supported. This includes prenatal education on labor, birth planning, comfort measures, partner support, and postpartum preparation so you can move into birth with confidence rather than fear.

During labor, I offer continuous physical, emotional, and informational support—whether your birth takes place at home, in a hospital, medicated or unmedicated, planned or unexpected. My role is to help you feel safe, grounded, and advocated for while honoring your choices and your unique birth experience.

In postpartum, my care extends beyond the birth itself. I support recovery through nourishment, herbal care, light household help, newborn adjustment, emotional processing, and creating systems of support so you can rest and heal. I believe postpartum should be treated with the same reverence as pregnancy and birth, and my goal is to help make that transition feel held, nourishing, and sustainable for your whole family.
